Minimum Age: 18 years of age

Prerequisites:
* Fire Fighter 2 (NFPA 1001) Professional Certification
* Fire Service Instructor 1 (NFPA 1041) Professional Certification

Required Text:
* Fire and Emergency Services Company Officer, Sixth Edition, International Fire Service Training Association; Oklahoma.

Required Equipment:
* Computer with audio/video capability and internet access

Course Description: This program will provide the student with the basic knowledge and ability to function safely and effectively as a 
management component of a fire/rescue organization. Effective management skills and styles will be covered as well as communication models, progressive discipline, philosophy of management, leadership styles, group dynamics, organizational structure, career counseling, Maslow's Theory of Hierarchy, pre-incident planning, scene preservation and investigating techniques, the responsibilities and liabilities of the company officer, and firefighter health and safety. This course is tested to NFPA 1021 Standard, to the Fire Company Officer 1 Level through the ProBoard. Successful completion of the program requires proficiency demonstration in written practical skills and a multiple-choice examination

Proboard Test will be on 3/18/27 at 1800

* All Professional Certification Written Examinations must be proctored at an approved location with an approved proctor. Approved locations outside of Pennsylvania are limited and may require additional fees.
