Minimum Age: 18 years of age

Prerequisites:
• Essentials of Firefighting (EBM) OR Interior Firefighter: No Live Fire (ELIF) OR Interior Firefighter: Live Fire (ELIF) OR Fire Fighter 1 (NFPA 1001) Professional

Certification
• IS-100: Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS-100)
• IS-200: Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response (ICS-200)

Required Text:
• Essentials of Fire Fighting, Seventh Edition, International Fire Service Training Association; Oklahoma.

Required Equipment:
• Approved, fitted, and maintained Turn our Gear
• Approved and test SCBA
• Computer with audio/video capability and internet access

Course Description: This course continues the fire service recruits training path to a complete basic firefighting education by introducing advanced concepts and techniques in such areas as fire suppression, rescue, incident reporting, pre-incident planning, fire prevention, arson awareness, and evidence preservation at emergency scenes. Participants will demonstrate fundamental skills in developing pre-plans, delivering safety presentations, completing accident investigations, basic vehicle rescue, and emergency response to various types of incidents during practical exercises. This course partnered with Professional Certification in Hazardous Materials Awareness, Operations (Core, PPE, and Product Control), and Fire Fighter 1 along with ICS-100 and ICS-200 will prepare you to test for Fire Fighter 2 NFPA 1001 Professional Certification.

FSC-0480 - Fire fighter II Written Examination Certification Challenge (NFPA 1001)

Minimum Age: 18 years of age

Prerequisites:
* ICS-200: Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response
* Hazardous Materials Operational Core Competencies, Personal Protective Equipment Mission Specific Competencies, and Product Control Mission Specific Competencies in accordance with NFPA 1072 or NFPA 470, through IFSAC or ProBoard.
* Fire Fighter 1 in accordance with NFPA 1001, through IFSAC or ProBoard.
* Bucks Advanced Fire Academy (BAFA) or equivalent Advanced Fire Training

Course Description
This program is designed to evaluate the student's cognitive knowledge to receive professional certification upon completion of the program if they successfully meet the minimum requirements and the psychomotor skills (tested separately). This examination measures the candidate's knowledge at the Fire Fighter 2 Level and will follow guidelines set forth in accordance with the policies and procedures of Bucks County Community College's Accreditation. Testing is based on current NFPA 1001 Standard, to the Fire Fighter 2 Level through the ProBoard. 

FSC-0482 - Fire Fighter II Practical Skills Certification Challenge (NFPA 1001)

Minimum Age: 18 years of age

Prerequisites:
• ICS-200: Basic Incident Command System for Initial Response
• Hazardous Materials Operational Core Competencies, Personal Protective Equipment Mission Specific 
Competencies, and Product Control Mission Specific Competencies in accordance with NFPA 1072 or NFPA 
470, through IFSAC or ProBoard.
• Fire Fighter 1 in accordance with NFPA 1001, through IFSAC or ProBoard.
• Bucks Advanced Fire Academy (BAFA) or equivalent Advanced Fire Training

Course Description: This program is designed to evaluate the student’s skills in a psychomotor skills challenge testing for candidates not coming directly out of an academy style course to receive professional certification upon completion of the program if they successfully meet the minimum requirements and the cognitive written examination (tested separately). This examination measures the candidate’s skills at the Fire Fighter 2 Level and will follow guidelines set forth in accordance with the policies and procedures of Bucks County Community College’s Accreditation. Testing is based on current NFPA 1001 Standard, to the Fire Fighter 2 Level through the ProBoard.
