Description
This course is intended for Municipal elected & appointed officials, Township Managers and incident responders and replaces the IS-100 & IS-700 required courses.
- Introduction to the Incident Command System for County / Municipal Elected Officials and Officers
- Explain what ICS is,
- The roles and responsibilities of the County/Municipal elected official during an incident,
- Familiarity to ICS terminology,
- Explanation of incident sizes & complexities,
- Differences between the on-incident ICS organizations & activities and the activities accomplished by Emergency Operations Centers, Area Commands, and Multiagency Coordination Systems,
- Explanation of the administration, financial, and reporting implications of incidents.
Course material is now provided through electronic means. It is highly recommended participants bring a computer, capable of reading a USB flash drive, to the course. Student manuals and other course material may be downloaded at any time from the PEMA web page (www.pema.gov)
