Course Description
The hazards and resource demands for extrication emergencies involving large and heavy vehicles will be reviewed 
in this course, as well as, vehicle design considerations, weight distribution hazards, payloads, strength points, and 
special hazard considerations. The course is designed for the experienced rescuer and incorporates various extrication 
strategies, operational tactics, and situational assessment techniques during integrated exercises. Exercise evaluations 
will be based on size-up, incident action planning, extrication strategies and tactics, patient packaging and removal, 
and termination.
