JOINT HAZARD ASSESSMENT TEAM (JHAT)

COURSE DESCRIPTION:

This course prepares HazMat techs and CBRN operators to serve on Joint Hazard Assessment Teams (JHAT) at mass gatherings—such as sporting events, parades, and festivals.
 

Training covers planning, threat response, and incident management for HazMat/CBRN threats, hoaxes, or accidents. Participants will learn small-unit tactics, dismounted and ATV/UTV-based operations, and communications.
 

Optional modules include integrated training with bomb squads, SWAT, and tactical/event EMS.
