Description: This course will provide instruction in the basic skills of identifying hazardous material problems in a community. The student will learn to recognize the presence of hazardous materials and identify hazardous materials, as well as learn the associated hazard characteristics.

Prerequisites: Age 18 and up, Interior Firefighter, or Bucks Basic Fire Academy, or Firefighter I Certification
This 8-hour technician training program is aligned with the specific radiological competencies listed in NFPA 472 for a Technician Level and Agent Specific responder. The training includes a pre-test to verify responder knowledge and understanding of the actions necessary for radiological accident response. The course content includes advanced level training on instrument operation, radiological detector selection and limitations. In addition to the classroom training, students using their incident command system will participate in three field drills.
PA-PEMA: Modular Emergency Response Radiological Transportation Training (MERRTT)
The goal of the DART course is to help front-line first responders and emergency management personnel to recognize and assess an unmanned aircraft event for a potential threat, and to give basic awareness of how to assess and mitigate that threat. This course provides class participants with the knowledge and tools necessary to detect, identify, track, assess, mitigate and respond to commercial and hobbyist unmanned aircraft operations in the United States.
Pump Operations II (PUOA)
FSC: 0421 Hours: 16.0 (Lecture: 8.0hrs / Lab: 8.0hrs)
Prerequisites: Age 18 and up, Pump Operations I
Description: This course is designed to instruct the student in advanced techniques of operating fire pumps. Topics covered include friction loss, relay pumping, master streams, and elevated master streams.
