The Tactical Medical for First Responders program is designed to define a Medical Threat Assessment, to include a medical plan for a tactical operation. Students will learn how to apply techniques to control life threatening bleeding during Care under Fire in a (HOT ZONE). Additionally, they will perform techniques to treat life threatening and non-life threatening injuries during Tactical Field Care in a (WARM ZONE).
High Risk Vehicle Stops

This class presents various procedures that enable the patrol officer to recognize high risk vehicle stop situations and safely execute those stops in which the occupants pose an increased risk to public and officer safety.

Traffic Patrol/Drug Interdiction

Course Length: 2 Days (16 Hours)
This workshop trains police officers to detect, investigate and arrest those persons who are trafficking illegal drugs and drug money upon the highways. This program is designed for the patrol officer who is assigned traffic and preventative patrol duties. Applicants for this course must be sworn law enforcement officers.
Pennsylvania Helicopter Aquatic Rescue Team (PA-HART) will provide a highly specialized aerial search and rescue team and overall air asset for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the nation to respond to natural and manmade disasters as well as other incidents.
The Advanced School Resource Officer Course is a twenty-four (24) hour block of instruction designed for any law enforcement officer working in an educational environment. This course, following the SRO Triad model, advances the SRO’s knowledge and skills as a law enforcement officer, informal counselor, and educator.
The School Security Officer Course is for non-sworn safety and security officers working in schools with an SRO or solo. The course will emphasize three main areas of instruction: Functioning as a security officer in the school setting; Working effectively with students; and School Safety and Emergency Planning. Attendees will gain a working knowledge of the School Security Officer concept, and how to establish a lasting partnership with their schools. This course is designed specifically for school safety and security staff.
This course is designed to provide firefighters with the knowledge and skill objectives to safely perform rescue techniques to remove trapped or lost firefighters during deteriorating suppression activities. This course is for firefighters who are members of a RIT, and tasked with extrication responsibilities during structure fires. Included in this course: RIT Team roles and responsibilities, evaluation of case studies, function during suppression activities, lifting and moving techniques, extrication support needs, team building skills, and size-up techniques and structure layout.
The advanced RIT class scheduled for Saturday and Sunday September 14th and 15th has been postponed.
