The Center for Rural Development (CRD) has been awarded a grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (DOT PHMSA) and has partnered with the All Hazards Training Center (AHTC) to provide hazardous materials training for volunteers and remote emergency responders.

  • Course Description - This 3.5-hour course is designed for pre-hospital emergency medical staff, including EMT-B, EMT-O, AMR, Police, Fire, and other pre-hospital personnel, who may be required to prepare for and manage a radiologically contaminated patient.
